Shepherding the energy transition from concepts to reality

Lizzie has over 16 years of experience working in the environmental industry, 10 of which have been in the UK marine energy sector.  She has provided technical and specialist support and advice to projects within oil and gas, offshore wind and CCS; and strategic level assessments for the UK Government in wave, tidal range and tidal stream technologies.  An integral part of her work has been a detailed knowledge and understanding of UK marine environmental legislation, for full cycle project activities including decommissioning.  Her project work has also included stakeholder engagement, project management, environmental management systems and emergency response.  She also specialises in technical reports for energy projects on physical marine processes.  Lizzie has a PhD in physical oceanography and spent several years teaching undergraduates at the University of Aberdeen in geoscience and science communication.
